What's my story?

I was an early adopter of the Internet while in art school. I went to Parsons School of Design, where I received my BFA in Communication Design and my MFA in Design & Technology. My career evolved from web design in the mid 1990s to UI/UX design, design thinking and product strategy. I believe in clean design and efficient functionality on the web. Content is king, and users should be able to have easy, unfettered experiences.

I'm also a teacher. I started teaching Foundation Year and Continuing Education students at Parsons in 1997, and then later at Katharine Gibbs in the Digital Media Department. In Toronto, I taught UI and UX Design courses part time at the Red Academy. I'm currently teaching bootcamp remotely during the winter.

When I’m not designing, I dive into music. I've been a DJ for 25 years and have played in various clubs in various cities across Canada, the US and the UK. DJ livestreaming through the pandemic has kept me sane and happy, too! And yes. My hair has been green for a long time.
